how to join the ring

Registration:

If you wish to join the ring,
• Please read the Terms of Service prior to registration.
• The registration form is on this page.

Registration details:

The registration form is fairly self-explanatory.
• What you fill in, is what will be displayed on the ring's directory.

• for keywords please write what you wish your site to be known as
    i.e. website or blog or forum etc.

• The Site Entry URL - is the page you would like your visitors to land on.
• The HTML (navpanel) code URL is where you intend to display the navpanel.
• The siteID code should preferably be something that will quickly identify your website.

• You have the option of changing details anytime in future.
• You will not be able to change the siteID code, as it gets embedded in the navpanel.

Post registration

After you submit your application,
• A confirmation email will be sent to the registered email of the webmaster.
• On clicking submit, you will also get access into the site admin panel.

Inserting the code

The next step is to insert the (HTML) code for the navpanel on your website.
• The email and the message on the panel will tell you how and where to get the code
• Simply copy and paste it on your website.
• Please display it where it will not get missed.
• If the panel is not on the entry URL, do make sure you have links towards it.

• make sure that you are satisfied with the appearance and position of the panel.
• Change the HTML styling of the code to match your theme.

Modifying the code.

I have written the code so that it can be modified easily.
These are the different attributes that can be changed;
• height, width and color of: the panel, individual rows and cells.
• the command buttons, you have to keep Prev | List | Random | Search | Next
• font: size, style, width, family
• (font) color: #digit number called the Hex numbers.
• The Color Palette has 216 websafe colours.

Account activation

After inserting the code
• email me to tell me the panel is in place.
• my email address will be on the confirmation mail sent.
• The program will confirm for me that a link has been established.
• I will activate your account, it should be active within 48 hours of your email

That is it.

You do not have to do anything after that.
• There are no fees to pay,
• No accounts to renew,
• The maintainance of the ring is my responsibility
